Graphics > yeti3d: creating textures and sprites?

Derek's awesome yeti3d editor lets me build maps, but how do you create texture and
sprite files?

It looks like the engine expects textures to be in data.c and the sprites go in sprites.c.

Can you suggest a texture and/or sprite editor that will let me export
to these yeti3d source file formats?

Any idea how to import new textures into the editor?
