Graphics > Raycasting engine download

#3618 - Armitage - Sun Mar 02, 2003 12:22 am

Check out this raycaster:

http://www.sheol.demon.co.uk

It's full screen 240x160 texturing. There's even a
limited functionality demo you can download.

It uses an OpenGL-ES like 3D graphics library
of my own devising.

Graphics feedback welcome on this thread.

nice :D

how does that work?
I've been looking into working with a raycasting but I'm really a pretty big n00b at coding and stuff.
I've done some modding on Quake2 (and waaaaay back doom) but nothing much, but I can't seem to get anything going on gba

sp3c, a quick question for you:

What kind of modding have you done on Quake?

How much experience do you have at it?

#3671 - sp3c - Tue Mar 04, 2003 8:22 pm

mostly 3d modeling (guns, people, items) and texturing (walls, skins, stuff like that)

edit: 0 and btw, I am reasonably experienced but I wouldn't call myself a pro or anything

I don't suppose that you'd happen to have any of the models handy, huh?

... or that they'd convert easily to Q1 or Q2?
