has any1 got a cheap or preferbly free toll for making 3d modells it is for a game am thinnking of making and i was wondering if there was anything like it out there to design the characters

Milkshape isn't bad either, and Jsensebe swears by Animation:Master, although I think a registered version of that is 100 bucks. In any case, a good value for the money.

Gmax is the stripped down and free version of 3DS Max. You can export to MD3 or something and then write a converter to make your own format.

I use Poser from metacreations. Version 3 has been given away free with a couple of 3d graphics magazines here in the UK. 3D World Nov 2000 was one, you might find it for download at their website at: www.3dworldmag.com.
